We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and proactive individual with a strong team ethic. A general interest in oceanographic science would be an advantage.

Odfjell Drilling are looking for Snr Rig Electricians to work within the platform drilling side of our business. The successful candidates will work on the UKCS on a 3/3 rotation.

Job Summary:

Responsible for various duties including but not limited to the operational integrity, safety and the cost effective running of all drilling equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance. The ultimate objective of this position is to assist in ensuring that all electrical systems remain operative throughout the operation and comply with safety, regulatory body and test standards. All role holders will demonstrate safe working practices in line with Company policies, procedures, training and legal requirements. Personnel will ensure their own safety at all times and will assist in ensuring the safety of others by participating fully in the Company and Client Safety Management System.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair as necessary all electrical equipment, investigating defects and submitting reports as required.
Carry out and record isolations of electrically driven equipment to be worked on by himself and others.
Report any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative / Maintenance Supervisor.
Offer technical assistance and electrical back-up as may be required for the safe operation of any equipment on the installation.
Be knowledgeable of all Company safety policies and procedures that pertain to his area of responsibility.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the ordering of parts required for maintenance and repair of equipment.
Complete in a professional manner all required maintenance reports.

HSB Technical are currently seeking HVAC / Ventilation Officers (2nd Engineer COC) for a leading Cruise company.
You will be responsible for running and maintenance of all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Equipment onboard.

Role and responsibilities:

- Effectively coordinates repair work to defective Hotel/Deck/Technical Areas
- Monitor and control Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Equipment
- Works closely with the Snr Tech Storekeeper to ensure sufficient repairs
- Assist the 1st Ventilation Officer in cost management and control
- Verifies that all Ventilation aspects of Port Health policies and requirements are met

Ideal candidate:

- Ideally around 3 years experience within Ventilation/HVAC/Refrigeration field
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Relevant HVAC Certification - F-Gas/York is advantageous
- Excellent Team Player

Although this position is on an initial contract basis (2 months on/off) there may be the potential of a permanent position in future.
